This year’s New Year’s Nyepi in Bali has become even quieter than usual due to the spread of the new coronavirus .
On the day of Nyepi, we quietly welcomed the sunrise.
There are few guests staying at accommodations such as hotels, and quiet time flows.
It is a Balinese-style New Year’s greeting that does not pass by motorcycles or cars and does not make a living noise.
It’s hard to see in the photo, but the night sky was full of stars, and it was a moving beauty.
This year was an unusual year in which going out was banned the day after Nyepi in order to prevent the spread of the virus, and Nyepi
actually lasted for two days.
In this way, the unusual Nyepi is over.
There was a request to refrain from going out until March 30th.
